On Tuesday January 12, the Premier announced an extension to the province-wide lockdown effective January 14th, 2021. This is expected to until at least February 11th.  The CFO directed the suspension of all CFSC and CRFSC courses and examinations in all regions effective 12:01 am  December 26, 2020, until further notice. 

Due to this notice and the increased "Stay at Home Order" issued by the province, we will be cancelling courses until February 11th. We have begun contacting all registrants affected to offer options of remaining on a waitlist for available dates or receiving a refund. If you are registered for any courses during this period and have not been contacted yet, please call us so we can reserve your spot on the waitlist or issue a refund. 

In addition to these cancellations, WE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTING ANY NEW REGISTRANTS AT THIS TIME. Once we have successfully rescheduled all of the cancelled courses, we will begin accepting new registrants. We thank you for your patience and understanding. 



Hunter Safety only:

To obtain a resident hunting licence in Ontario, you need to pass the Ontario Hunter Education Program, including a written exam. 

When you pass the course, you’ll receive a copy of the Ontario Hunter Education Examination Report. You need to bring your copy to a participating Service Ontario location that provides hunting licence services to register your hunter accreditation. You will then be able to buy hunting licences and tags and apply to big game draws. A valid Outdoors Card is required before you can purchase hunting products.

You must follow all federal firearm regulations and carry appropriate documentation if you are hunting with a gun.

The Ontario Hunter Education Program will assist you to understand the natural world and become a knowledgeable and responsible hunter. The program provides introduction information about:
  • ecosystems and wildlife management
  • hunting laws and regulations
  • hunter responsibilities
  • identification, biology, management of and hunting techniques for big game, small game and waterfowl.
  • hunting and survival equipment
  • the hunter’s role in society.



PAL only: 
$175 plus HST (includes exam) 

CRFSC book not included but is available to purchase from the instructor directly or download for free from the RCMP website.


New applicants for a Possession and Acquisition Licence (PAL) must successfully complete the Canadian Firearms Safety Course (CFSC) and exam prior to applying for their licence. Participation in classroom training is mandatory.

The courses are introductory and cover the basics of firearms safety including, but not limited to:
  • basic firearms safety practices
  • ammunition types and storage
  • operating firearm actions
  • safe handling and carry procedures
  • responsibilities of the firearms owner/user
  • safe storage, display, transportation and handling of firearms

*This course is only available to those that have already successfully completed the PAL course.* 

Completing the Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety Course (CRFSC) and exam provides the ability to purchase restricted firearms.
